Kristina Bakkær Simonsen is the project leader of YOPOW. Her research broadly seeks to understand what it means to be part of a national, political community. With a particular interest in young people and their sense of political belonging, she has previously studied how especially ethnic minority youth experience conditions of membership and citizenship.
Lisa Herbig is a postdoctoral researcher at YOPOW. Her research examines how emergency politics, such as border closures, and their communication by political actors affect public opinion and institutional trust. Methodologically, she applies quantitative, experimental, and text-as-data approaches to study political communication and public opinion.
